Black Scorpion Ninjutsu Society Rank Explanation
For all rank tests, the student will be expected to demonstrate each technique and must show that they have made considerable improvements to all previously tested techniques.
Novice Students:
1. White
2. Yellow
3. Blue
Intermediate Students:
4. Green
5. Advanced Green
6. Purple
7. Advanced Purple
Advanced Students:
8. Brown
9. Advanced Brown
10. Black
Senior Students:
11. First Degree Black
12. Second Degree Black
13. Third Degree Black
14. Fourth Degree Black
15. Fifth Degree Black
16. Sixth Degree Black
Please Note:
All Black Belt Students are authorized to teach and may instruct their students no higher than one belt and rank below their own. All Rank Test given to a student who wishes to advance above this level must be tested by a higher ranking individual who hold a higher rank and belt color. All Belt Ranks must be reported to the B.S.N.S. Headquarters so that we can back up their authenticity within our records.
About the belt ranking systems
Be aware that the color of a belt as a rank in one system does not translate to the same rank in another system. A "Green Belt" in one system is usually not the same rank as a "Green Belt" in another system.
Simply put, a "Black Belt" in one martial arts system isn't really comparable with a "Black Belt" in any other system. It only represents a certain level of skill obtained within that system and exactly what skill level that represents is entirely up to the instructors who define that school/dojo or martial arts system.
Finally, the question asked is, "How fast?" ...How soon will you get your Black Belt?
I would say approximately five to six years depending on situations and Based on the individuals ability to handle an adult black belt test. Some students might earn a black belt sooner than five years because of prior experience elsewhere like knowing the basics. Some may take longer than six years due to what ever reasons, jobs, commitments and etc. The time needed to earn a black belt is different for every person.
Our students are all required to have honesty, integrity, courtesy and humility. Students are taught their skills only to be used to defend their country, family or their own lives. This rule is strictly enforced and street brawling is strictly forbidden. Martial Artist do not need to speak loudly, brawl, boast about their skills or be disrespectful to others. To be a good fighter and a champion, one must always be humble and respectful to everyone.
